a great foundational class for anyone curious about Pilates and how it relates to yoga--whether to support and compliment your own practice or for teaching yoga students.This class will have a brisk tempo while keeping in mind enough description for those new to Pilates. We will begin with some breathing exercises, followed by a dynamic sequence of exercises and finish with some of Joseph Pilates' standing mat challenges. Expect to learn about your personal balance of stability and mobility, the useful feedback of the floor in Pilates, and the similarities and differences between Pilates and Yoga.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
