In Yin SUP Yoga, we'll adopt the pace of nature - her secret is patience. Invite a sense of calm with poses held for several minutes, focusing on the heart and hips. This class is designed for yogis who are new to stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). Class will begin with a detailed intro to SUP on land that includes paddle techniques, safety considerations, and equipment information. We'll then practice paddling to a pristine location and anchor ourselves for the yoga portion of the class. Expect to begin with a short meditation and to immerse yourself in a practice of long holds in poses that are low to the board. Class closes with a blissful floating savasana. You may get wet, so bring your sense of adventure! You may be most comfortable wearing layers and a bathing suit with your yoga gear. All levels are welcome to join us on the water for Yin SUP Yoga.
Class time devoted to lecture: 11-20 minutes
